Interface Changes
- Allow the use of k and m as shortcuts for thousands and millions in parameters (200k 4.5m)
- Confirmation when transferring attackers to rows you don't own (to prevent transferring attackers to your target accidentally instead of attacking)
- Or a check box that must be ticked to transfer to rows you don't own
- Or a query that sets an SQL variable called ALLOW_ANY_TRANSFER. Something like "SET ALLOW_ANY_TRANSFER = ON". Like ANSI_NULLS.
- Make the interface more compact. The "browse rows" section could be:
- row_id, name, owner, money (# of factories), fuel (# of factories), attackers (AM), defenders (DM).
- The name of the owner could be removed from the "your rows" section, as it is shown at the top of the page already. ("now playing as _")
- A list of members of a clique.
- Notification message in your personal log of when someone accepts an invite to your clique
- Chat to all members of own clique using one query.
- Notification of other clique members being attacked in your personal log.
- Improved filtering options for query log.
- Top left rows displayed in numerical order (selectable as option).
- Own rows displayed in rows instead of columns, to match rows browsed.
- Browse for users (SELECT row_id WHERE owner='<query>';).
- Transfer max fuel to a row (auto calculate cost and transfer rest).
- Keep the name of the last person you sent a chat to in the "owner" box, instead of reverting it to "name of target" every time.
- Rollback last transaction. Allowed only if no other sql commands have run and limit to purchase items and upgrades not attacks.
Rule Changes
- Come up with a meaningful high end goal e.g. - the space project (Civilization) - buy a DROP TABLE query for a really large amount of money - ???
- A "Newb-Motivation-Trick." Too many one-time logins is nice for farming, but bad for the community.
-
Transfer costs reduced with higher AM.
- Attacker/defender costs reduced in proportion to higher AM/DM to encourage leveling up
- Trading / market interface.
- A way to damage enemy rows short of deleting them, like hurting their upgrade levels.
- Something to promote more risk-taking behavior. The current rules favor attacking for very marginal gains, so most players never leave money or fuel underdefended.
- A mechanic that promotes interaction between active, competent players. The current emphasis on defense means that good players only interact indirectly.
- Improved scanning queries, presumably with higher fuel costs. It's annoying to page through rows and rows that are too low AM/DM to attack, for example.
- Add fee-based features modeled after SQL "triggers" - purchasable automatic warnings triggered by various events. Example: a warning to all in a clique if a fellow member is attacked, so whoever is online at the time can retaliate. Per-day or per-event fee?
- Do you mean actual real world money, or in-game money? If real-world, I say definitely not. If in-game, then it's fine, in my opinion.
- Game money of course, but if *I* were the creators, I'd be taking ideas for real-money too...
- Save-able custom scans - lets you populate the 'Browse Rows' area with a personalized list of 10 rows from anywhere in the shard, cost of 10 fuel per scan
