The goal of the game is simply to win. First though lets go over the ways you can lose:

Development
Since any multiplayer game with the lone goal of eliminating all concurrent players will either end in a stale mate or destroy itself (by reducing its active players to 1), it is up to future version to come up with a meaningful goal - or other ambitious project - for high end players.

Currently
It would seem that the current goal is to become the most powerful row (or rows).
At this time there is no realistic way to actually win the game (other than to get every variable to the max that MySQL supports).
